The home button on the right allows you to define your home instance so that the communities open on it
You can filter by instance on https://lemmyverse.net/communities
It’s not, @lazyadmin@lazysoci.al is the admin

Hello @aeharding@vger.social, could you please provide some details?
How do you know they’re not aware?
Anyone can find those comments about the 3 largest instances
This is a bs argument considering that instances can and indeed a few already do maintain similar automated anti-spam and auto-moderation tools.
Seems weird to say this to the creator of https://gui.fediseer.com/
Yes, you can go back to the previous screen, but now you know there’s nothing here specific to your interests, so if you do stick around, you’re stuck just casting about for something to latch on to.

and all those independent instances connect together to make a whole that serves the same purpose as a Reddit or Facebook.”
You still mention instances 😄
So people are going to ask what they are, what it means to be on one or another, etc.
I just opened a random Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1jvmtjr/luka_as_he_goes_back_to_dallas_as_a_laker_45_pts/
How is a user that has never used Reddit supposed to know that they can click on the /r/nba link to get back to the subreddit? What does /r/nba mean, what does the /r/ stand for?
All of those things had to be learned by Reddit users at some point in time.
Lemmy is targeted for Reddit users. The use cases and features are very similar, so they should be able to navigate.
Again, the fact that those people (who are definitely not tech savvy, by their own words) found a way to keep that community active and come back to it regularly still shows and it is possible.
Oh sorry, didn’t follow up on that!
