I like the size of Lemmy at the moment

Lemmy is just big enough to keep me entertained, but I wouldn’t mind if the userbase were to double in size. Many of my niche interests are still missing or inactive.

Brigading an arbitrary subreddit and saying “you should use Lemmy instead”, even with the best intentions, will likely yield a poor response. A more successful strategy would be to monitor these subreddits, wait for someone to complain about Reddit, and then suggest Lemmy as an alternative.

Isn’t that the cost to host an entire instance?
