Many clubs pride themselves on being safe spaces that are accessible to all. But is that really so? DW spoke with a partygoer in a wheelchair to find out how she experiences Berlin’s nightlife.
This is very good to see, but it’s interesting they don’t mention Schwuz.
The policy there is that they are not going to reject you for who you are, and almost the entire place is wheelchair accessible. The only place I can remember there’s stairs is to go to the stage.
There’s often people in wheelchairs clubbing there, and every once in a while there is a small group of them.
I think there’s a small community of wheelchair party people in the city and by recognize a few here and there that I’ve seen a few times.
Honestly they make the vibe better and I’m happy we can all party together
